Adding a file to a question
Every question has a Question file and an Answer file. Each can be a picture, a song or a video. Add one with:
- Upload from computer;
- Paste link: a link to a file, or a YouTube video;
- Choose from used files: anything you used in your other games.
A question can also hold Extra files to show whenever you like, such as a second photo.
Use only songs, pictures and clips you have the right to play. AmoQuiz doesn’t supply any.
Trimming and playback settings
For a song or a clip you can set:
- Play from: start at the chorus, not the intro;
- Volume, so a quiet track isn’t lost after a loud one;
- Loop, to keep it playing while people think;
- Audio only, to play a music video’s sound without the picture.
For a picture, Show full screen fills the TV with it.
A music round
There is no separate music format: put songs in the questions of any round.
- Grid or Buzzer race: play the song, and the first to buzz names it. When someone buzzes in, the song pauses; if their answer is wrong, it plays on.
- Type answer or Multiple choice: everyone answers each song.
- Bingo: cards of song titles, ticked as the songs play.
On the night
- Sound and video play on the game screen, not in the host panel. Connect the speakers to the computer showing it.
- In a browser, click Start game on the game screen once, so it is allowed to play sound.
- Press Play audio, Play video or Show image in the host panel when you’re ready.
- With no internet at the venue, the files must be downloaded to AmoQuiz Desktop first. See Hosting with no internet.
